Jobee is a registered nurse who helped kick off The Alfa Doc practice in 2019. She serves as the Clinical Nurse Manager, managing day-to-day clinical operations, and working with the entire clinical team to help patients reach optimal health. Jobee has worked in critical care, labor & delivery, and was a medevac nurse before diving into primary health care. Patients are often surprised by her after-hours or weekend phone calls to ‘check-in’ on peoples healing and recovery. 

 

She grew up in a rural community and the health of small towns has always been her interest. Jobee came to Alaska as a travel nurse over 10 years ago and fell in love with the people, their self-sufficiency, and ingenuity. She jokes that it is a lot like growing up in rural New Mexico, just colder and no rattlesnakes! She volunteers at public health events and is the President of the Valdez Community Gardens. 

 

She earned a degree in science from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, then jumped into the registered nurse program at Central New Mexico Community College.  Jobee has since earned her Bachelor’s in Nursing, and is currently attending Chamberlain University for her Masters of Nursing, working toward her Family Nurse Practitioner licensure. She has one adult son and an incredibly supportive husband. But it’s her grandson that steals the show in her world!  Jobee would tell each of them and anybody within earshot to take control of your health, advocating for yourself and speak-up about your thoughts and feelings. And never underestimate the love of a pet!
